Waist length

My hair is so long now that when i tie it up in a bun on the top of my head, it hurts cos its so heavy. Thinking of cutting it. Like shorter than I've had it every before. Like a bob. But too scared in case i look like crap with short hair despite my stylist reassuring me otherwise. If that happens, i guess i could turn to wigs. Wigs are fun. Better than hiding at home for 6 months i guess.
